Once there was an Emperor who wanted nothing more than to have a perfect world. So he erased it all, the good and the bad, and brought back only the good. But some things could not be brought back. Now Emperor Cassius runs a country with no animals, no forests, no stories, and no music. The only flaw which remains is that of human error. However, anything can be corrected. Enter Dantes, the assassin chosen to finish the Emperor before he can finish his plan to Clockwork his people ... and the Emperor's brother.
