"Wish you were here ..."Thomas Hawkins is dead. The stage is set, and the audience has congregated for his funeral and memorial service. However, the key actor in this play is missing. With Thomas's older brother, Tobias, failing to show, his best friend Mark takes center stage and attempts to fumble through a final eulogy.
What follows is the next seven years. With Mark attempting to become the world's next Don LaFontaine from his Microsoft Sound Recorder in his basement, and Tobias attempting to cope with the last night of his brother's life and his pending divorce, the two embark on a slim chance to reconnect with the one person they both loved. And through it all is Mark's final speech for Thomas Hawkins. A comedy about loss, fear, and Pink Floyd. (Please contact [email protected] for an excerpt) |
